CREATE!!! One of my favourite things is to create. I know that I like some free rein on create to explore how I like to do things. Therefore this is one of my favourite things to implement into the classroom. It is awesome to hear that I am on the right track with creating within the class. In my first year of teaching (only 2yrs ago) I did a lot of creating with the students, I didn't know if I was on the right track, but students were engaged and produced some great work. I feel that I have gone backwards with this and now I'm excited to get into 'creating the spark' again. There are several things that I have taken out of the session today - I'm going to engage student's interests by getting them to blog them at home (or school) more often. I have a particular child that this could be rather useful in building his self-confidence. He's quite talented in music and this could be great for him.
I have downloaded a few things lately that have automatically asked me to make a copy and now I'm quite stoked to find out how to do that myself here's how: at the end of the bar remove the present or edit and change it to /copy then the students are forced to make a copy. Woohoo.
I really enjoy being creative in presenting information so today was useful to reignite my interest. Using multimodal texts is something I quite like making so I'm quite glad I have had the time today to create a site as well as adjust my current learning site. Previously I have using TES blendspace and have embedded this on my learning site as this incorporates different modes. I found it quite useful changing a drawing to pixels and then resizing it. Adding drawings to sites is getting a lot easier as is the look and adjustability of sites. I have suggested to a few students in my class that they could create a learning site for themselves and I would like to try this with the whole class as learning portfolios. This may be a longer term goal (i.e. start of next year). It would be nice now to have some time to put these ideas into practice and solidify them.

It was wonderful to see your engagement in the tasks today Jules. I can see that you truly are a very creative person and can't wait to see how this transfers into your classroom. I like the idea of using a site as a learning portfolio for your students and look forward to seeing this as a part of your classroom learning.
